Chapter 1: Introduction/Setup

 

Civitas is a small, beautiful city situated south of Tunga region of Arctic. It is the home of migratory birds. It is an advanced city with great infrastructure designed and built by the hard working and intelligent birds. Many centuries ago, when the region started getting warmer during winters, the birds stopped migrating for a suitable habitat. All the energy and time that was used to migrating towards a warmer tropical region was used in building a permanent and sustainable society.

 

For many decades, the entire bird community worked hard and built the beautiful city of Civitas.

Today the city is equipped all modern constructs like residential areas, Business centers, Shopping centers, Sports centers, Schools and universities hub. And these are interconnected with hi-tech transport system. The birds don't need to fly anymore. Rather they just need to put on the drive suit and put them in right lane to their destination.

The family was the unit of the bird society. The elders loved and cared for the young once and work hard to take care of their family and their society.

​

Let's meet one such small and loving Ruff family.

​

[Day 1]

It was Friday morning and Josh and Ema were getting ready for school. It was the last day at school before winter holidays. Both kids were very excited as after the school they will leave for the second home for winter vacations. Not only schools, but even it was winter break time for business and government workers. The winter vacation where the annual vacation time for all the citizens of Civitas. This was the time when, entire city of Civitas would take a break from their work and prepare for winter vacation time. Today, the evening everyone would leave for the second home city of Ramati. As it was time to harvest fruits of hard-working year.

Everyone was wrapping their work and preparing for winter vacation.

​

Ema and Josh put their flying suits and flew to blue lane next on the street next to their home, that would take them to school. Sam also wore him flying suit and attached him self the red lane that would take him to his business office. Today both Sam and the kids would be arriving early. Meanwhile Martha was complete the packing for everyone. So that they all could leave for second home in the evening.

Josh and Ema where also excited as today they will be meeting their grandfather Jido, whom they have not seen for many months. Jido (father of Sam, grandfather of Josh and Ema) was going to join Ruff family at their second home house.

At school all the kids were excited and talking about their plan for winter vacations.

​​

In the afternoon, kids and Sam were back, and they were ready to leave for second home city of Ramati.

All the families of Civitas where ready to leave for Ramati.

​​

Ramati was 400 miles south of Civitas. In Civitas, the citizens would use the hi-tech express lanes to commute inside the city.

But for travelling to Ramati, they require especial Family-mobil car. Each family had one Family-mobil.

​​

Family-mobil was a very high-speed flying car, where each family member will wear their fyling suit and attached it to slots on Family-mobil. Family-mobil had the auto self-drive system, that would drive them to Ramati. Each Family-mobil will coordinate with other mobil and make a smooth traffic flow towards the second home city.

​​

After the 2-hour drive, all the cars arrived at Ramati. The Family-mobil were docked on the roof of their respective house. Now it was time to start 2 months of fun, party and relaxing vacations. Everyone detached their flying suit from Family-mobil and when inside their homes.

​​

The first evening of the winter vacation at Ramati was aways marked with a gathering session of all the citizens at the Ramati center. This was time to remember and pay respect to their ancestors who had to take the hardship of transmigration for many thousands of miles in search of better habitat. They also remember their ancestors who worked hard to build their city of Civitas post Freezing winter period.

Back at Ruff family second home the kids started looking around their house and playing. Both Josh and Ema where also wondering where their grandfather Jido were. Just them Sam got message from Jido, that he will meet them at gathering session at Ramati Centre.

​

Soon it was time for the gathering session, Ema and Josh joined their parents to walk towards the Ramati Centre, this was the time when everyone would walk themselves for this gathering and not use flying suits.

When the session started, the Prime minister Robert Byron addressed the citizens from the Centre stage.

​

"Fellow citizens, it’s a great honor for me to welcome all of you to our annual winter vacation celebrations. This is the time to relax and enjoy with our family after a hard-working year. But we should also remember our forefathers, who worked hard and gave us the life that we enjoy today. We own our gratitude and love towards them, with a promise that we all will do our best for our family and society and pass on the same heritage to next generation. We would also care for our surroundings, nature and other living being. At the last, but not the least, i would like to talk our Gods who gave us many good past years including this once, where we had plenty of food and fresh water to drink.

But now, it is the time to party hard! Hence, I declare opening of the carnival session to begin now!!!"

Just then fire work started from behind the stage and lit the entire sky.

​​

Everyone clapped and started hugging each other.

​​

Josh and Ema, where wondering where their grandfather was.

​​

Just then Ema saw Jido walking towards them. Both the kids ran and climbed on Jido and gave him a big hug. Martha and Sam were smiling.

​​

After gathering session ended, everyone returned to their house. It was a long and tiring day.

​​

The Ruff family also returned to their home. Ema and Josh were tired. Jido read one story for both the grandchild and made them fall asleep.

​​

After kids were sleep, Jido, Sam and Martha gathered at the living room to catchup.

​​

[Note]

Jido and Sam (Father-son) don't have a very good relation. Jido was mostly away due to his work life and didn't give too much attention to Sam when he was a kid. Sam was mostly spending time with his mother Judi. Judi tried her best to help them bond. But somehow, this didn't happen, and their differences grew with time. Even though, Jido realized this, and he made efforts later when Sam was grownup. But perhaps it was too late. Soon, Sam was a teenager, and he went to college for higher studies

​​

The living room was a bit quiet, Martha tried her best to talk as much and keep the mood light. Jido and Sam exchanged some formal works regarding their work life. Finally, it was late and they all three went to sleep.

​​

[Day 2]

Next morning, Josh and Ema, woke up early and rushed to Jido's room. They started jumping on his bed and made him awake.

"Time to goto the beach" shouted Ema. Though Jido was tired, he himself was looking to spend quality time with his grandchild.

​​

Quickly, that had breakfast and entire Ruff family rushed to the beach.

​

All day, they played in the sand. Made sandcastles, went for swimming in the sea. Collected shinny stones and shells from the seashores. The neighbor’s kids also joined Josh and Ema and all the kids played together.

​

By evening both the kids were so tired. They when to sleep early. Now was the time that the elders could enjoy the night parties.

Sam and Martha had plans to go to disco club with another couple friends. Jido stayed to look after the kids.

​​

[Day 3]

Again, the kids woke up early and went to Jido's bed and started jumping and woke him up. Today kids had plan to go to the amusement park with Jido. Sam and Martha had hangover from last night party, and they choose to stay back at home and relax at the beach later.

After the breakfast, Josh and Ema flew along with Jido to the amusement center. Both the kids went to different rides, had ice-cream and cotton candy. 

During the afternoon, after couple of hours of play, Josh and Ema where relaxing at the food court. Just then Jido got an SMS from his senior General Stonewall Jackson.

Message said: "Meet me at the Bravodo night club at 8 PM. Urgent!"

Jido was little surprised, seeing this message. He had just met General Stonewall 3 days back, before parting for holidays. What could have happened suddenly that the general is seeking him to meet urgently during holidays. By evening the kids have played enough and they were tired. They three flew back to home. Jido mentioned to Martha that he will be going out for couple of hours during night as he has to meet some colleagues.

Chapter 2: Inciting Incident

​​

Late evening Jido had put on his army uniform and left for the club. Bravodo was an old club that didn't attracted too many party people. It was also far and at the end of night club street. Jido was also wondering, why Jackson chooses this particular night club to meet.

Finally, Jido arrived at the club. He has never been to this club before. The entrance was dark, the interior of the club was old. He looked around but could not see Jackson anywhere. Perhaps he was not here yet. He went to the bar and asked bartender for a drink.

While he was drinking, there was a group of teenagers drinking near him. They started making fun of him, as he was dressed in army uniform.

The new generation used to think there was no need for an Army. There has been any war for many decades. Keeping so many employed army personal was waste of money. One of the teenagers commented at Jido "Hey grandpa, where did you find this uniform. From the relic garage sale". All the other teenagers started laughing. Jido didn't say anything, he just ignored them and kept drinking.

Just then from the other side of the bar a gaint shadow appeared. It was general Jackson, along with his personal guards. He approached the teenager and said "Ran away in your mamma's lap before i hang you upside down".

The teenager’s group was scared and they flew away.

​​

General Jackson shaked hands with Jido and asked about his family and kids. Jido said they all are fine.

​​

Jackson said, I know you are surprised and thinking why did I call you urgently.

​​

Jido nodded.

​​

Come with me.

​​

Jackson went back past the same door from where he entered the club main hall. Jido and other guards followed him.

​​

In the next room there was a stair towards the basement. Jackson signaled Jido to follow him downstair. In the basement wall had a secret door, Jackson opened the door with a secret widget in in hand. Jido was surprised than ever, but he didn't say anything.

After they passed the secret door. There was a lift in the passage. That was guarded by 2 security guards. On seeing the General, the guards saluted him and opened the lift door. General, Jido and guards entered the lift and it started moving further down. When Jido came out of the lift he saw a very big office space, where many army personals working there. There were many rooms having large TV screens shows some data those were analyzed by group of personals. Jackson said to Jido, welcome to Special Spy division of Army. Jido was shocked that being in service for so many years, he never knew about this place. He was also wondering, what could be the reason that, Jackson had to bring him here.

Finally, General Jackson took Jido to a special room, where already 2 army personals were waiting for him. On seeing General and Jido, the stood up and saluted them. General said everyone to sit down. The rooms door was closed and the 2 guards stood outside the room guarding the door.

​​

General Jackson stood up and started the conversation. There is a current situation that requires immediate attention and soon we need to come up with a plan to address it. Jido, I know your are getting impatient, allow me to brief your regarding current situation.

​​

The special Spy Army division is a a very highly trained and sophisticated team, who keeps an eye at our neighbors and surroundings and identifies for any danger or threat that might be looming over our society. This division directly reports to me, and I need to submit final assessment to the prime minister.

​​

The linguistic sub team of spy division are specialist in human language interpretation, human behavior and human body language. For many years they have been keeping an eye on Human intelligent department and getting some very vital information that is important for our bird community.

​​

Two weeks back, they intercepted one important conversation between Human intelligence chief and his staff. Tim and Southy are senior officers from the spy division, and they will brief you more about the human intercept message and why it could be a concern for us. Tim and Southy, over to you.

​​

Tim and Southy stood up, Tim stated, gentleman, 2 weeks back our special field agents recorded an hour of conversation between human intelligence chief and his subordinates. This hour-long recording was then interpreted by our linguistic experts.

​​

Below is the context on it:

​​​

Humans are suspecting occurrence of a significant stellar event, nova, that would happen at our near galaxy Andromeda. This will cause strong gravitational waves passing through our Solar System, causing 10% decrease in Sun's mass. If the sun loses 10% mass, that means, the gravitational pull will also decrease. This will push earth and other planets in solar system farther away from sun. The human scientists have predicted that earth's elliptical orbit length will also increase by 10%.

This is where the problem for us starts. If the earth becomes far from sun, that means it will also become colder. Specially in winters the temperature could go down till - 80 in tundra region. That means during this time of year we must migrate to a warmer tropical region to survive. We are afraid that even with our advanced technological advancement we will not be able to survive the winters we don't migrate.

General Jackson spoke: We need to confirm this information before I could brief the Prime Minister about the situation. 

Jido: But how can we make sure this information is 100% correct.

General Jackson looked at Southy. 

Southy spoke: Our spy division has observed a big gathering at the Native city of Zantih one month back. And since then, the natives are going through mass strength training session daily. It looks like they are preparing for some mission. As both the information from Human and movement in Zanith have happened at same time, we suspect, Natives might already know about the catastrophic event.

General Jackson interrupted:  We all know you and Mr. Bell Crow (Head of native city) at good friends. 

Note:  Every year, an annual bird summit was held at Tebylamma (Tebylamma is the holy town for birds situated at high mountains at the edge of Himalayas). Where bird representatives gathered from all around the to part Windom and community service. For many years, Jido has represented the progressive bird community and Bell Crow has represented the native bird community. Over the period of time Jido and Bell have developed a mutual respect for each other and become good friends. 

I want you and your team to go native town of Zantih and meet Bell Crow and confirm this news. And you and your team need to leave tomorrow morning.

I need not have to say, but this information remains confidential and doesn't leave this room. That's all meeting is adjourned.

Everyone left the room. Jackson asked Jido to stay back.

After everyone was gone. Jackson said to Jido, I know this an unprecedented situation. And if this information is correct, both the bird community needs to come together and find a solution for it. We both need to help each other. You already know that for our generation is not at physically strong as the natives. At the same time all the scientific advancement we have made will help both the community if we plan to migrate to some tropical region.

When you meet Bell Crow, and if this information is correct, you need to find out what is their plan to overcome this situation. Have they already selected a place where we need to migrate and how are they planning to do so. You also need to discuss with him that this is the time for both the community to shred their differences and come together.

I have known you for my whole service life and I know you’re the best person for this job and you will do your best to serve both the communities.

Jido and Jackson hugged each other and parted.

Chapter 3: First Act Turning Point

​​

After meeting with Jackson, Jido came back home late. By that time everyone was sleep. But when Jido was in the kitchen to get some coffee. Martha woke up and came to talk to Jido if everything was fine. 

​

Jido said: I need to leave tomorrow early morning on an urgent mission. I don't know for how many days i will be gone. I know the kids and Sam will be disappointed. But there is really urgent. Could you please talk to the kids and make them understand. I was really looking forward to spend time with you all.

​

Martha said: I know the kids will be very upset on knowing this, also Sam will be unhappy. But if it is so urgent, it has to be done. I will talk to them in the morning.

Jido handed over a note to Martha and asked her to give to Sam in the morning. 

They both finished the coffee and gave each other a hug and went to sleep.

 

In the morning, Jido left early before anyone was awake. He went to his grandchild room and left a small note asking for their forgiveness. Also he mentioned he loved them more than anyone in this world and he will get back as soon as he can.

Finally, he left his home. There were 2 commandos waiting outside his home. They all took the chopper and flow away.

 

Jido was sitting quietly in the chopper and thinking about everything that happened last night. He took out a picture of his family from his purse and was thinking, how the recent events will impact his family, if the information found by Spy team was correct. He was also little worried. But he took a deep breath and try to be strong and focused on this mission.

​

After 4 hours they reached at the gates of Zanith. The gates were guarded by native guards. The main security head James was also at the gates and he recognized Jido. He knew who he was. The guards escorted them to Security head's chamber. Jido explained James, that he needs to meet Bell Crow regarding a very urgent matter.

​

James said to Jido, it is already late now. He will pass on the message of his arrival to Bell Crow. Meanwhile, you and your acquaintance could rest in Guest house. Jido nodded.

​

The two security guards escorted Jido and his team to the guest house. 

Back in the Zanith main palace Bell Crow got the message of Jido's arrival. He smiled, as he was anticipating his arrival.

 

In the morning, Jido went to meet Bell Crow. Both of them greeted each other and hugged. 

After having some formal discussions, Bell Crow ask Jido what made him come to Zanith. Jido explained him briefly about the findings from Spy team. After hearing Jido, Bell Crow was quite for some time. Then he said, yes, I have also come to know about such a possible event.

​

Jido was surprised and he was thinking how was it possible for the Natives to get to know about such an event that requires advanced scientific knowledge.

​

He ask Bell Crow, but how did you come to know about this possible event. 
Bell Crow took a pause and explained: Two months back, the high priest of Tebylamma Monk Tenzin, found a very old chest benith the temple. Inside the chest there was a book. That made a prophesy, that in 5000 years, an extra territorial event will freeze our planet. All it's creatures living to far north must migrate to warmer tropical region. Otherwise, they will not survive.

​

Two weeks back, I got a Ravan from Tenzin, explaining the entire situation and we must prepare entire bird community for this.

Everyone was silent in the room for sometime.

​

Then Bell Crow spoke, I know both our communities have drifted apart. But we still have love and care for each other. This is the time that we all have to join our hands and fight against this situation together. This is why i sent a message to your general. And called you to meet me as soon as possible.

​

Jido said I completely agree, we must act together as we both can help each other.

​

Jido continued : I will explain the situation to my General. We all need to sit together and discuss on how to get overcome this situation. I will send you a message soon about our joint meeting soon.

​

Jido, greeted Bell Crow. And started his journey back to Second home city with his team.

​

While going back in chopper, he spoke to General and informed him that the information from Spy team was correct. We need to set update the Prime Minister.

Jackson told him to go back home and take some rest. He will call for an emergency meeting with PM soon.

​

Jido reached home very late, by that time everyone was asleep. He as well tried, but sleep didn't come easy for him.

​

Chapter 4: Rising Action

​

4.1 Communication to PM:

​

In the morning, Jido wanted to speak about this with Sam. But as Jackson has instructed him to keep it confidential. He didn't say anything to him. 
Soon the kids were awake and the whole family had breakfast together. During breakfast Martha saw Jido was little tensed, and she asked if everything was alright and enquired about his trip.

Jido said, everything is OK, I am just old and tired. He realized he has to act normal and started playing with the kids.
Both Josh and Ema had their football match today in the afternoon. Whole family started discussing about it.
Just before leaving for the game, Jido and Sam both got a message from PM office, regarding a meeting that was scheduled for today at 7 PM.

​

By evening they came back to home after the game. Both Josh and Ema did very well in their matches. It was already 6 PM and was time for Sam and Jido to leave for the meeting.

​

The prime minister office was in the build, that was behind PM's holiday home. Sam and Jido left for the meeting in their own vehicles. Sam was required to meet the PM at his office and Jido had to report to Jackson.
Finally, everyone arrived at PM's office and were waiting for PM to arrive.

​

At shape 7 PM the PM arrived at his office along with his guards and Sam.

By 7:05 PM everyone was seated, and the meeting began.

 

PM Robert said: Tell me Jackson, what is the urgent matter, we are here to discuss?

Jackson stood up and said: Mr. Prime Minister, very soon my team will brief you about an unprecedented situation that we have even faced, and we must take this very seriously and act quick. 

Jackson introduced his team to My PM. We have Tim and Southy from special spy division and this is Colonel Jido, he is the head of special tactics division.

Jackson: Tim and Southy will now explain you what they have found by their special field agents. Over to you Tim.

​

[Tim stood up and explained all the information the spy agents and linguistics team have gathered from the Human community, about the extra territorial event and how it is posing a danger to us. Tim presented a very nice graphical presentation to explain. PM and Sam were listening to this very carefully].

​

When Tim was done. PM and Sam looked and each other. Sam asked, how can we be very sure about all these findings, we need to somehow reconfirm this. 

​

Jackson said, yes you are right. This is why we had deployed our agent Southy and his team to gather more information from Old city of Zantih. Southy will explain his findings now.

​

Southy explained about the huge gathering natives had a month back and since then the natives have been holding intense physical drills for the entire community.

​

Sam interrupted and said, but this doesn't confirm the extra territorial event. They could have these exercise due to some other reason.

Jackson said, you are right again. As you all know, Jido has been representing us at Annual bird summit at Tebylamma(Holi city at Himalayas). He also had good terms with Bell Crow(Head of native herd). This is why a day back we sent Jido to meet Bell Crow and get more information on this matter. And now Jido will tell about his meeting with Bell Crow.

​

(Sam looked at Jido. Jido knew, Sam will not feel good, that he did not spoke about this to him in the morning. But Jido knew he was doing his duty. Even if he had to keep this information confidential from his son, he did what was right)

​

Finally, Jido spoke, he told everything about his discussion with Bell Crow. The prophecy made by the high priest monk of Tebylamma (The holy City).

​

Everyone was quite for some time. 

​

The PM stood up from his desk and started walking forth and back behind his place, thinking deeply. Everyone was looking at him and waiting for what he says next.

Finally, he says, so you are saying our whole community need to migrate to some other place before next winter, or else we are facing danger of extinction!!!

​

After some pause, Jackson spoke, Yes Mr. PM, we have to come in terms with this situation and prepare an actionable plan to overcome this situation.

​

PM said: So, what is your proposal.

 

Jackson said: We need to arrange a meeting with Bell Crow at the Strong gates (Strong gates is the area that marks end of Civitas and beginning of Zantih).

​

PM: Okay, have we already agreed this with Bell Crow.

Jackson: Yes.

​

PM: Okay, then let’s start the discussion as soon as possible. We have to unit together and leave our differences behind to win against this situation. 

​

Jackson: Yes Mr. PM, we setup a meeting as soon as possible.

​

PM: And when do we communicate this to our people.

​

Jackson: I think, we should wait will we have a final plan to count this situation, to avoid any panic.

​

PM and Sam said: Yes, we agree.

​

Finally, the meeting was over. 

After PM and Sam left the office. Jackson, Jido, Tim and Southy continued their discussion.

​

Jackson: Jido, send a message from your team and ask him to arrange for a meeting with Bell Crow next week. 

Jido said Yes.

​

4.2 The Giants date
 

Finally, the two giants, PM Robert and Bell Crow meeting was setup after 5 days at the Strong Gates Colosseum.

Meanwhile, PM Robert his cabinet along with Sam were discussing and planning next steps.

​

Similarly, Jackson along Jido, Tim, Southy and few more senior army personals were preparing plan on what army is expected to do next and how they prepare for it.

​

PM Robert, started the conversation. It is good to see that inspite our differences, we are making our best efforts to help and save our community against a formidable danger. As leaders this is also our duty towards our people to prepare and guide them out of this situation. Today we all have gathered to share and discuss our knowledge about this upcoming apocalyptic event and prepare a proper plan to overcome it.

On behalf of me and my entire team, I would like to thank my counterpart Mr. Bell Crow and his team for joining us here today to discuss on our future course of action.

​

Next Bell Crow stood up and said: Thank you Prime Minister Robert for the opening statement. I am not good speaker, so I will get to the point. 

I suppose, by now, we all agree that there is an inevitable danger looming above us and the only way to get out of it is to transmigrate to a tropical region where the earth is warm, and we have food and shelter to survive.
This is the time for us to give up comforts of life and get into basic survival mode. The actions we take today, will decide if we will be able to survive against the test of the time. And if we fail, there will be no tomorrow for us.

 

Everyone was silent.

 

After some minutes of pause, Sam stood up and said: We understand the gravity of situation and it is good we all are motivated to find a solution for this problem. Mr. Bell Crow, I suppose your community has already been migrating during winters to a warmer place every year. How is it any different this time.

 

Mr. Bell Crow : No, the next winter will not be same like the winters we had in past. For past many years we have been migrating to places those are 1000 KM away from our home. But next winter, it will be so cold that entire area that is 5000 KM from here will freeze. The temperature will drop so low that no living creature could survive.

 

Colonel Jackson stood and spoke: Yes, Mr. Bell crow is correct. Our intelligence also predicts similar outcome. We have to target areas that are 7000 KM away from our home, as a potential survival place. No one has ever migrated to such a long distance ever. 

 

Sam: But we have long distance travelling jet-packs, we can use them easily. 

 

Jido: The jet-packs have a maximum travel to maximum 2000 KM at lower altitude like 5000 meters. But here we need to travel to 7000 KM, that is more than 3 times. Plus, we might have to fly on higher altitude like 10000 to 20000 meters to benefit from wind drift. The jet-packs were never designed for such a journey.

 

Sam: So, you are saying that the jet-packs are of no use for us.

 

Jido: I am not saying that, the jet-packs could help of to reach 30 to 40% of our journey. But we also need to use our flying strength and capability to reach the destination.

 

Sam: But why couldn't we make a jet-pack that have the capability to fly for 7000 KM at 20000 Meters altitude. We have our scientists and engineers how can work on full speed on this.

 

Everyone was silent for some time and thinking about the arguments that was put so far.

 

PM Robert spoke: After hearing from all of you we have to agree on below points:
     1. We need to prepare for a large transmigration targeting a place that is 7000 KM away from here.
    2. Can we enhance our existing jet-packs for this entire journey. Seeing the timeline we have at hands; we cannot risk going for only this option. We must prepare our people to use our strength of flying at maximum capability. The current progressive community generation does not have the capability even to fly for 100 KM without using the jet-packs. That means, we need to work harder to reach to flying strength level as our fellow native community people. 
                
There is still open question I seek answer from all of you. We know that we have to target a place that is 7000 KM away from here. But do we exactly know what place is this. That is habitual and having food and shelter for all of us.

​

There was a pause and no once has an answer for this. PM Robert understood that no one has an answer to this, as no one knows what this place should be.

​

PM Robert, looked at Bell Crow and asked him: Mr. Bell Crow, what do you propose, how should we choose exact place where to migrate.

​

Mr. Bell Crow: I was waiting, that someone might have answer to this question. But looks like no one has. The prophecy, tells about an village, that is across Himalayas in the tropical region of Indies. The village is surrounded with lakes and dense forest and hills. The villagers love the migratory birds, and they save some crops for the winter to feed them.

​

Sam: But crossing Himalayas means, we have to fly at very high altitude under very cold conditions. How do you propose we do that?

 

Mr. Bell Crow: Honestly, I don't have exact answer to this. But the high mountain ranges of Himalayas acts as a formidable barrier for the cold wind coming from north and provides ideal habitual place once we cross it. This region has many rivers and deep forests. The land is fertile, and crops grow there round the year as the weather is favorable. We might find warmth, shelter and food for our survival.

 

PM Robert: I think we must form small teams accountable for specific responsibilities and actions. Mr. Bell Crow, will you honor us by leading the team responsible for building flying strength and capability for both the community. Especially, the progressives, who are not at same level as the natives.

Bell Crow: Nodded Yes.

 

PM Robert: Thank you so much. Colonel Jackson and his team will assist you on this. 
Meanwhile, Sam and his team will contract the Science and Engineering chief and analyze the feasibility of developing the enhanced jet-packs, that could fly at higher altitude and could cover larger distance possible.

 

I still want to thank each one of your to stepping up against this formidable danger. The current and future generations are counting on us. And we have responsibility of answering to our ancestors. I don't know if we will succeed. But i know for sure we will put our best fight and show our true character.

5. Communication to all

​

The next day there was finals for main sporting event. Almost all the town was present to see the finals. 
After the finals, an announcement was made that, the PM will address the nation with an important message.

 

PM Robert started his speech by mentioning how great the entire bird community was and recalled all the difficulties our ancestors have faced to build our beautiful city and our society. 

 

After that, he revealed the challenging time that was ahead of them and all the latest findings done by both the bird communities!

The entire crowd was silent and scared!

PM assured the citizens, that our best team has worked out a plan and done everything in their capacity to take us safely out of this danger. 

 

Both our bird communities have to work together to pass this challenging time. We can only survive if we help each other and strengthen ourselves. 
This is why the special task force will have mentors from both the communities. They are the best people we have, and they can only take us out of this danger. 

 

From our community Colonel Jackson will lead this operation. And from the Natives Mr. Bell Crow will be the lead.
Now, we must forget our pity differences and work together like brothers and sisters. I request each one of you individually to give their 100% and cooperate with the special task force.

 

I again assure you there is no need to panic. This is time for us to stay focused and show right attitude. I am sure we will surpass this difficult time, like we have done in past.

I hereby announce that the winter festival is concluded, and we start preparing for a new mission named : "Back to basics".

 

Now, Colonel Jackson and his team will take over and guide you on next steps.

Colonel Jackson came forward to the dice. And he spoke.

Fellow citizens, long before the start of industrial revolution, our ancestors used to transmigrate to thousands of kilometers without the modern tools and gadgets we have today. 
We are their descendants, we have the same physical and mental strength hidden at our core. 
We must believe on ourselves and work hard to get over this challenge. 
Believe me we can get the other side of the tunnel if we work together like one family.
There is no natives and progressive communities now. We are just one strong bird community. 
We need to believe and take care of each other’s like brothers and sisters. 
This is why we must live together, prepare together at one place. 
Hence, we will fly tomorrow to mid-plains at the northern gates to start the "Back to basics" mission. Where both bird communities will camp together.
Let's gear-up and give back a hell of a fight to this danger and come out victorious like always.

The crowd was pumped up and everyone shouted and clapped with belief. "Yes, we can do it!"
Everyone in the crowd shied their flying suits away and swung their wings in believe.

6. Preparation

[10 months to go]

Both the bird communities camped at the mid-plains. Where the progressive had better tools for camping, they helped the Natives. The Natives had better physical strength to build the temporary training village.

​

The first phase of preparation was to build the same level of physical strength like their ancestors.

A family was the smallest training unit. Called peas. And a group consisting of 5 to 6 families were created called pod. Each pod was designated 2 special task force personals for physical endurance training.

​

A centralized kitchen was arranged that made most nutritious meals for the entire community. 

Where Natives, in the special task force, were specialized in many kinds of flying maneuvers. Like, efficient way of flying by saving energy, flying in windy conditions, flying when it is cold, and air is thin.
The progressives taught them on how to use the flying suits.

The progressive engineer’s team, build different models for training. Like simulated flying space wells, that created different flying conditions, by varying wind speed and temperature.

The first phase continued for 6 months. Now the physical strength of both native and progressive have reached to almost same level. Where Natives, where a little better as they had years of experience.

The second phase of preparation was more on mental strength and planning. 

[4 months to go]

Now all the pods were joined together in a massive V shaped alignment. Where each family formed a small v alignment inside it. The head of the family was the tip of v and the adults in the family form the two sides of v. 
The young once were placed in between the two sides. So that adults could help the young once whenever they need.

The birds started practicing together in V alignment. Every morning, they flow together in V alignment to 100 miles. And returned back by evening. They simulated different unexpected conditions like, emergency landing to an island. Assisting each other of some once had health issues. Especially, the if young once used to feel fatigue, how to help them fly.

 

Meanwhile, Sam was working with science and engineering team to develop the enhanced jet-packs that could fly for longer distance on high altitude. The team has made good progress. 

 

Now the jet packs could take them to 3500 KM. That is half of the journey could be assisted using the advanced jet packs.
But these could be only used at start of the journey. They cannot use it while flying over Himalayas. As they didn't have similar terrain to test nearby. Also, there was not enough time now.

[2 months to go]

Just after summer, the place started getting colder. By start of autumn the temperature has already started being below -10 and the landscapes were already covered by snow.
Everyone was worried. They all knew that the time for their transmigration was approaching.

Finally, PM Robert, called for the special task force meeting to discuss about the execution plan. 

Bell Crow, Colonel, Jido, Sam, Southy, Tim and some other high ranked people from both communities joined this meeting.

​

Sam started the discussion and briefed everyone about the advanced jet pack. Now the advanced jet pack could fly for maximum 3500KM on single fuel. That means the advanced jet packs could be used to cover exactly half of the journey. After flying for 3500 KM, we all need to shied our jet packs. That means, we need to make our first halt, and camp at this point. 
This could be the time to regroup and energize for next phase of journey with our physical and mental strength.
The carrier jetpacks will take camping, food, water and other needed equipment’s for us.

PM Robert paused for some time and spoke. This is a very good progress Sam. Do we have enough numbers of advanced jet-packs for both communities. It will save our time and energy.

Sam: Yes, we have already produced 90% of requirement and in few days we will reach the required number. 

​

Everyone was happy and felt good after hearing this.

​

PM Robert asked Bell Crow and Colonel Jackson. Do you see that both our bird communities are prepare, both physical and mentally for this journey now. Especially, the younger generation.

​

Bell crow spoke, for past 6 to 8 months, the entire bird community has shown great strength and perseverance. Everyone has worked hard pushing their limits. I am not sure if we are really prepared for this transmigration. But I could assure, everyone has put their best efforts, and we have good chance to succeed in our mission.

Colonel Jackson Spoke: I completely agree to what Mr. Bell Crow has said.

​

PM Robert took a pause and spoke. So, now the open question is, when is the right time to start the journey?

​

Colonel said, as per our information from spy agents, human community has forecasted that after next 2 weeks, weather will change drastically. Heavy snow will be followed by temperature less than -35 is forecasted.

We must start our journey in 1 weeks’ time.

Sam spoke, the jet packs will take 3 days to travel 3500 KM to our first halt camp.
